CETRAD strengthens international presence at the AnaEE-ERIC members assembly

CETRAD โ€“ the Transdisciplinary Research Center for Development had the honor of participating in the latest AnaEE-ERIC Members Assembly, a meeting marked by the strengthening of European scientific collaboration and the presentation of new research capacities in the fields of ecosystems, sustainability, and agricultural sciences.

During the meeting, significant progress within the European infrastructure was highlighted, including the integration of new facilities into the network, the growth of the scientific community involved, and the ongoing development of eight active European projects โ€” a number expected to soon increase to eleven. One of the most notable moments was the presentation delivered by a group of researchers, who introduced the Assembly to their scientific infrastructures, research expertise, and areas of specialization. The presentations showcased the strong national contribution in areas such as ecosystem research, agronomy, biodiversity, sustainability, and social sciences.

Among the participants was Professor and CETRAD Director Lรญvia Madureira, from the University of Trรกs-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), whose participation helped strengthen the international visibility of the research being carried out in Portugal and at UTAD. AnaEE-ERIC also emphasized the enthusiasm generated by the scientific capacities presented by the teams, highlighting the importance of international partnerships for advancing science and sustainability. The participation also included contributions from Joรฃo Andrade Santos (CITAB), Mรณnica Vieira Cunha (CHANGE โ€“ Global Change and Sustainability Institute), Beatriz de Matos (CITAB/UTAD), and Joana Gonรงalves (CITAB/UTAD).

In this regard, CETRAD once again celebrates this international presence and the strengthening of European scientific collaboration networks, which are essential for addressing the global challenges associated with sustainable development.
