CETRAD is pleased to announce the event “Intellectual Property”, organised under the UI-TRANSFER project, which will take place on 20 May 2026, from 14h15 to 17h30, at the Geosciences Auditorium of the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD).
This initiative aims to strengthen the connection between academia and industry by providing students with the opportunity to explore how academic knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurial ideas can be translated into real-world impact.
The event will be divided into two main moments. The first session, “University & Industry”, will focus on the relationship between universities and companies, highlighting collaboration opportunities and recognising the five winning projects of the UPGRADE programme.
The second session will consist of a practical training workshop on Intellectual Property, led by Luís Caixinhas, Patent Engineer at Inventa. The session will address patent registration, the protection of ideas, projects and innovation, through practical and accessible examples aimed at students interested in transforming ideas into concrete opportunities.
