“O Movimento de Reconceituação do Serviço Social na América Latina: determinantes históricos, interlocuções internacionais e memória” financed by CNPQ. It presents key lines for the reconstitution of the genesis of academic research in Social Service inscribed in the Latin American history as a requisite for the professional exercise and competence of social workers. It starts from the thesis on the protagonism of CELATS to promote the research and theoretical production of the profession in the Latin American continent, in the framework of the Reconceptualisation Movement, in a context where research was not yet central neither in the academy nor in the professional work.
