As part of the Science and Technology Week, UTAD showcases its R&D units, the scientists who lead them, the research areas they develop, and the contributions they make to advancing knowledge and promoting societal well-being.

In the fourth video of this series, we highlight CETRAD โ€“ Centre for Transdisciplinary Development Studies, a research unit focused on applied social sciences and on the study of sustainable, smart and inclusive development.

The video features the centreโ€™s coordinator, Lรญvia Madureira, along with researchers Carla Ferreira and Cibele Souza, who present CETRADโ€™s mission, vision, and main scientific domains. Through their insights, viewers gain an understanding of how the centre addresses contemporary societal challenges, contributing to more effective policies, more resilient territories and more engaged communities.

CETRAD thus stands out as a space for the production of critical and innovative knowledge, committed to building a more sustainable and balanced future.
