On 29 April, the Seminar “Technology, Territory and Longevity: Contributions from the VIVEMAIS Project” will take place at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), in the Laboratory Complex, Auditorium B0.01. This event is jointly organized by UTAD-CETRAD and the VIVEMAIS Project.
The Seminar, according to the Programme below, will unfold in an interdisciplinary environment of reflection dedicated to the challenges and opportunities of ageing in diverse territorial contexts. It will present the results of the VIVEMAIS project and promote critical debate on the role of technologies in territorial dynamics that foster longevity with quality of life.
One of the central contributions of this meeting will be the identification of emerging research lines, particularly relevant for the development of Master’s and Doctoral projects. Among the key domains to be highlighted are preparation for ageing; ageing in place and territory; technologies applied to care, autonomy, and social interaction; formal and informal support systems; as well as the interactions between public policies and territorial contexts. These research lines are especially relevant to scientific fields such as Development, Societies and Territories; Social Work; Economics and Management; Technologies; among others, reinforcing the seminar’s potential as a catalyst for new academic and scientific pathways.
