The CETRAD team is leading the setup and implementation of the five territorially-based living labs being established by the LivingSoiLL — Healthy Soil to Permanent Crops Living Labs project. LivingSoiLL brings together 50 partners from Portugal, France, Spain, Italy, and Poland. The project will be developed across 54 months, based on a transdisciplinary approach, involving co-creation, co-design, and co-testing of solutions for healthy soils. It is expected to actively involve more than two thousand local actors. Coordinated by UTAD, the project is funded by Horizon Europe with a total budget of 12 million euros. The aim is to improve soil health in permanent crops in Europe, focusing on vineyards, olive groves, chestnuts, hazelnuts, and apples.
