The observatory to be implemented “is part of the values of Sustainable Tourism, which advocates a form of tourism that combines and integrates natural, cultural and social aspects with economic development in these areas”. It also aims to contribute to the goals of Agenda 2030 by enhancing and protecting the natural, scenic and cultural resources that are “unique to the territories of the areas through and around the EN2, as well as their people. These are inland territories, mostly of low density and with all the inherent demographic, social and economic problems, and that urgently need to be reversed, so the tourism promotion of the EN2 can be an instrument of great impact for these territories”.
