Vanda Veréb is a research fellow, currently working in sustainable territory development initiatives at CETRAD, the Centre for Transdisciplinary Development Studies in the University of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Portugal. She supports the Data4LowDensity project aiming to establish a better quality of life in rural Portugal.

After completing her PhD studies at the University of Minho, she continued as a postdoctoral researcher at GOVCOPP (Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies) at the University of Aveiro, Portugal analysing cosmopolitan consumer behaviour. Before joining academia, she worked for 10 years as a management consultant across the Middle East and Asia advising local governments on strategic management and service quality.

Her research interest is, among others, sustainability, communication, social marketing, tourism, strategic entrepreneurship and cross-cultural studies.
