Filipe R. Ramos holds a PhD in Management, specialising in Quantitative Methods, from ISCTE-Business School; a Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from ISCTE-Business School and the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL), as well as in Mathematics Education from the Faculty of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA FCT). He holds a degree in Mathematics (Teaching) from FCUL.

In addition to teaching Mathematics in primary and secondary schools, Applied Mathematics in vocational courses and various courses in the scientific area of Mathematics/Statistics at public higher education institutions (such as FCUL, ISEG, FCT-UNL and ISCTE-IUL) and private (European University), he also collaborated as a technical-pedagogical consultant at IAVE and coordinated vocational courses and their respective pedagogical teams.

He is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology of the European University (FCST-UE), a collaborator at ISCTE-Business School and at the IPCB School of Technology (EST-IPCB). He is also a researcher at the Centre for Statistics and Applications of the University of Lisbon (CEAUL).

His research activity focuses on data analysis and mathematical modelling. Part of his work focuses on the following topics: (i) Time Series Analysis and Forecasting (with special application to the areas of Economics, Management and Finance); (ii) Data Analysis/Data Science; (iii) Machine Learning/Deep Learning.
