I have a master’s degree and a PhD in tourism. I teach Tourism and Hospitality Management at Universidade Europeia in Lisbon. The subjects I am most passionate about are ‘Memorable Tourism Experiences’ and ‘Tourism Product Development’. I enjoy studying tourism-related consumer behaviour, placing a special emphasis on the development of family-friendly themed products.
Prior to starting my studies, I spent five years working for Catai Tours, a Tour Operator in Barcelona. I keep working with Catai as a tour guide accompanying groups, with a specific focus on themed family vacations to Morocco “In pursuit of the 3 Wise Men” and Lapland “Meeting Santa Claus”. It allows me to combine the benefits of being a tour guide with my academic background, sharing practical experiences and interesting stories with my students.
Besides my job and studies, I own an Airbnb apartment in Setúbal called “Homevolution”, where I am a proud Superhost.
