Ana Alexandra Marta-Costa holds a PhD in Agri-social Sciences and is an Assistant Professor with habilitation in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, at the Department of Economics, Sociology and Management of UTAD. Researcher at the Centre for Transdisciplinary Development Studies (CETRAD) and Vice-Director of the CETRAD between 2013 and 2020. The main research fields are rural and sustainable development, with emphasis on sustainability assessment, management and planning of the farming systems. Author or co-author of more than 150 scientific publications in these fields, in several peer-reviewed international journals, books and conference proceedings. Researcher in several European and national funded research projects, related with the aforementioned research fields. Participation in academic management as Coordinator of Agribusiness and Sustainability PhD Program and member of the General Council of UTAD. Member of the Board of the Portuguese Agricultural Economy Association (APDEA); of the National Committee of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV); and integrates the Agroforestry Business Models Innovation Network.
